San Francisco Man Arrested for Suspected Auto Burglary in San Mateo County

A 39-year-old man from San Francisco was apprehended by deputies from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office on Friday following suspicions of him peering into unoccupied vehicles. The arrest took place at the Windy Hill parking lot in the 500 block of Portola Valley at around 11 a.m.

Law enforcement officers approached the individual after noting his behaviour, which matched the description of a suspect involved in a recent auto burglary in the area. The man was identified as Jeiner Ocampo Quintero and was taken into custody. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that Quintero was in possession of multiple burglary tools.

Quintero has been charged with offences including auto burglary, tampering with a vehicle, and possession of burglary tools. He is currently detained at the Maguire Correctional Facility as the investigation progresses.
