On February 16, 2024, in Manchester, three individuals found themselves in hot water after being arrested by Violent Crimes detectives. The trio, identified as Freddie Calbert, 23, Maurice Calbert, 29, and Special Osborne, 23, were apprehended with guns and drugs in a Chrysler 300.

The detectives first spotted the group in a stolen Dodge Charger and attempted to stop the vehicle. However, before the police could intervene, the occupants of the Charger quickly switched to the Chrysler underneath an overpass on I-65 at Apple Valley Drive.

It was later discovered that the Charger had been reported stolen from Nashville on November 25. The Chrysler fled the scene when detectives initiated a traffic stop, with MNPD Aviation observing the occupants tossing items out of the window.

The vehicle eventually came to a stop at the dead end of Monticello Court, leading to the swift apprehension of all three individuals. Shockingly, a toddler was also found in the Chrysler at the time of the incident.

Charges and Bonds

Freddie Calbert, who was identified as the driver of the stolen Charger and a passenger in the Chrysler, attempted to flee on foot. He was charged with vehicle theft, felony weapon possession, possession of marijuana, and evading arrest. Calbert is currently free on a $22,500 bond.

Special Osborne, located in the rear passenger seat of the Chrysler, was charged with joyriding, felony weapon possession, and possession of marijuana. She is currently free on a $12,000 bond.

During the incident, a large bag of marijuana was discovered on Apple Valley Drive, with two more recovered from North Graycroft Avenue. Additionally, two handguns—a Glock pistol and a Sig P365—were seized from inside the Chrysler.

Overall, the events that unfolded in Manchester that day serve as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with criminal activities involving stolen vehicles, guns, and drugs.
