Accident – Death – Obituary News : St. Charles, MN (KROC-AM News) – A collision at a southeast Minnesota intersection early Saturday morning resulted in three individuals being transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to the State Patrol, the crash took place around 12:15 a.m. involving three vehicles at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Winona County Rd. 119 on the eastern outskirts of St. Charles. The incident occurred when an eastbound car was waiting in the eastbound lane to make a left turn onto the county road.

Subsequently, an eastbound pickup truck and a westbound car arrived at the intersection, leading to a collision involving all three vehicles. The state crash report identified 17-year-old Tessa Fay Ryan of St. Charles as the driver of the eastbound car.

Following the collision, Ryan was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, two occupants of the westbound car, identified as 46-year-old Pearly Robert Paapcrabb and 50-year-old Sarah Hong from Winona, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the same medical facility.

Thankfully, the pickup driver, 19-year-old Quintin James Ehlo of Minneska, MN, escaped unharmed during the incident. The State Patrol confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash and all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time.

In response to the three-vehicle collision, multiple emergency response teams were dispatched, including the St. Charles Police Department, St. Charles Ambulance, St. Charles Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department, and Lewiston Ambulance.
