Fatal Collision Claims the Life of Pedestrian in North Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A tragic incident unfolded on Friday night in north Abilene, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The fatal collision took place on February 16 at 9:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of Pine Street, where emergency crews responded to a major vehicle collision.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered that the pedestrian, identified as 58-year-old Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin from Virginia, had succumbed to her injuries. The next of kin has been notified of the heartbreaking loss.

The Abilene Police Department (APD) reported that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle travelling on Pine Street while she was in the roadway. Shockingly, the driver failed to stop after the collision, leaving the scene of the incident.
