Police Discover Guns, Drugs, and Wanted Woman in Mt. Juliet Traffic Stop

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – A routine traffic stop in Mt. Juliet turned into a major bust for authorities, as they uncovered guns, drugs, and a woman wanted in three different counties. The incident took place on Friday, Feb. 16, when officers noticed a vehicle with a registration violation on Mt. Juliet Road near I-40.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Nashville, was wanted in Wilson, Davidson, and Rutherford counties for probation violation and failure to appear warrants. Joining her in the vehicle was a 22-year-old male passenger, also from Nashville, who was taken into custody along with the driver.

During the search of the vehicle, officers found two handguns, cocaine, marijuana, and non-prescribed pills in the possession of both suspects. The discovery of these illegal items led to their immediate arrest.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department commended the proactive efforts of their officers in preventing criminal activities from taking place within the city. In a statement released on social media, the department highlighted the importance of such interventions in keeping the community safe.
