PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The man accused of murdering 83-year-old Dolores Robinson has been identified as her neighbor. Philadelphia police have named 47-year-old Isaiah Rahatt as the suspect, who is now facing multiple charges, including murder.

Residents of North Philadelphia are devastated after the shocking incident that took place on Wednesday evening. Dolores Robinson was found stabbed in the neck on her front porch in the 2900 block of North 27th Street.

A long-time neighbor of Robinson, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed deep sorrow, saying, “I’m going to miss her so much.” Robinson had been living in the neighborhood for over 50 years, and her neighbor described her as a sweet and caring person, almost like family.

Neighbors have unanimously painted a picture of Robinson as a kind and pleasant woman who always looked out for others in the community. The news of her murder has left them in shock and disbelief.

According to Ernest Ransom of the Philadelphia Police Department, Rahatt lived right next door to Robinson. The police have also disclosed that they had received several complaints from neighbors about Rahatt’s behavior in the past, although it remains unclear if Robinson was among those who reported him.
