The spokesperson clarified that the individuals in custody are juveniles and have no connection to the person named Sahil Omar. This is not the first time the name Sahil Omar has been falsely linked to criminal activities. In the past, social media posts have erroneously associated this name with a hotel explosion in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 8th, as well as a shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in December. These incidents highlight the dangers of misinformation spreading rapidly through social media platforms.
