Accident – Death – Obituary News : ELBA, Ala. (WTVY) – The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has recently revealed the identity of the victim of a tragic shooting incident that occurred overnight in Elba, Alabama, as well as the apprehension of two out of three individuals involved in the crime.

Sheriff Scott Byrd, in an interview with News4, confirmed that the deceased victim has been identified as 24-year-old Ethan Christopher Hill, a resident of Elba. The shooting took place on Jones Street, in the 1400 block. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services discovered Hill with multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:05 p.m.

Following the incident, law enforcement agencies initiated a manhunt for three suspects involved in the shooting. The City of Elba has now confirmed the successful capture of all three individuals at 12:57 p.m. on Thursday. Among the apprehended suspects are 31-year-old Freddie Junior Mcgee Jr. from Enterprise and 52-year-old Alena Michelle McGhee from Elba. Both Mcgee Jr. and McGhee have been charged with murder in connection with the shooting. However, the identity of the third suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile, remains undisclosed due to legal restrictions.

Coffee County Coroner Arnold Woodham announced that Hill’s body has been transferred to the Montgomery Department of Forensic Sciences to undergo an autopsy, which will aid in the ongoing investigation.
