Investigation Continues into Homicide at Former Bar S Restaurant in Great Falls, Montana

Great Falls, Montana – On Monday, February 14, 2022, Cascade County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a distressing scene at 8535 US Highway 89, a few miles east of Great Falls. The location was once home to the iconic Bar S restaurant, but now it has become the site of a tragedy. Authorities received a report of a deceased man, later identified as Michael Lee Alan Evans, a 40-year-old resident of Great Falls.

An autopsy conducted at the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula confirmed that Evans’ death was the result of a homicide. The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Crimestoppers, is now offering a substantial reward of $10,000 for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for this heinous act.

Sheriff Jesse Slaughter, in an emotional Facebook video, revealed that the investigation has identified several “persons of interest” who are believed to have knowledge regarding the circumstances surrounding Evans’ death.
