Man Dead, Another Injured in Stockton Home Invasion Stabbing
STOCKTON – A tragic incident unfolded in Stockton on Tuesday night, resulting in the death of one man and the injury of another after a suspect armed with a knife entered a residential property and carried out a stabbing.

According to the Stockton Police Department, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Florence Street around 11:45 p.m. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the suspect had entered both a backyard and a home while wielding a knife.
The suspect then proceeded to threaten the occupants of the house before carrying out the brutal stabbing.
Tragically, one of the victims, a 31-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while the other victim, a 57-year-old man, is expected to recover.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Colbrin Mahan, was apprehended inside the home by the responding officers. He has since been arrested and booked into jail on charges of burglary and homicide.
The Stockton Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the motive and any potential accomplices.
