Hartford Man Arrested for November Stabbing Incident

Byron Williams Charged with Murder in Hartford

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that took place in Hartford back in November, according to the authorities. Hartford Police have charged 36-year-old Byron Williams with murder in relation to this case.

The crime occurred on November 4, 2023, at approximately 3:20 a.m. The victim, identified as 52-year-old Kendall Jones, was found with stab wounds inside a vehicle near the emergency room entrance of St. Francis Hospital. Despite the efforts of emergency medical services (EMS), Jones was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The incident took place at 605 Albany Avenue, as determined by the investigation conducted by the Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions. The authorities promptly took control of the investigation and initiated a thorough examination of the crime scene.

After an extensive investigation, which involved the diligent work of the detectives, a suspect was identified. The detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Byron Williams, who was subsequently apprehended on Thursday morning. The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Hartford Police Violent Crimes Unit safely took Williams into custody.

Following his arrest, Williams was transported to the Hartford Police Detention Division for processing. He is currently being held on a bond set at $1 million.
