A man has been apprehended and charged with murder in relation to a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in Hartford
last November, according to the local police authorities.

Discovery of the Unconscious Victim

On November 4, 2023, the Hartford Police Department and emergency medical services (EMS) received a distress call
around 3:23 a.m. reporting an unconscious man found inside a vehicle near the entrance of the St. Francis Hospital’s
emergency room.

Identification of the Victim

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the victim, later identified as 52-year-old Kendall
Jones from East Hartford. He was unresponsive and had sustained multiple stab wounds, as per the police statement.

Medical Response and Pronouncement of Death

The victim, Kendall Jones, was swiftly transported into the hospital’s emergency room. Tragically, medical professionals
pronounced him dead shortly after his arrival.

Investigation and Suspect Identification

An intensive investigation was initiated by the Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions.
Through meticulous examination, the authorities determined that the incident had occurred on Albany Avenue. The
prime suspect in this homicide case was identified as 36-year-old Byron Williams, a resident of Hartford.

Arrest Warrant and Apprehension

Following the identification of Byron Williams as the suspect, the police swiftly obtained an arrest warrant. On
Thursday, a joint operation involving the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Hartford Police Violent
Crimes Unit successfully located and apprehended Williams. He was taken into custody without incident.

Charges and Detention

Byron Williams was subsequently transported to the Hartford Police Detention Division, where he was officially charged
with murder. As per the police report, Williams is being held in custody without the possibility of bail, as the
court has set his bond at £1 million.
