Manassas Police Arrest Convicted Felon for Possession of Firearm and Controlled Substance

Manassas City Police swiftly responded to a 911 hang-up call on February 9, 2024, around 7:50 p.m. in the quiet residential neighborhood of the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court.

Upon their timely arrival, the vigilant officers encountered a group of individuals who were attempting to flee the area. One of these individuals caught the attention of law enforcement when they were seen discarding a firearm beneath a nearby vehicle, leading to their immediate apprehension by the police.

The detained individual, identified as 28-year-old William Bradley Runion, underwent a thorough investigation by the authorities, which revealed his status as a convicted felon. Furthermore, a subsequent search conducted following his arrest uncovered a suspected schedule I/II controlled substance in his possession.

William Bradley Runion was promptly taken into custody by the Manassas City Police and transported to the secure confines of the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. As a result of the charges against him, Runion is currently being held without bond in accordance with the law.

The charges leveled against Runion include felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, reckless handling of a firearm, and carrying a firearm while in possession of schedule I/II substances, according to the Manassas City Police.
