The couple, identified as Roshani and Devendra, was rushed to the hospital by their family members as soon as they discovered their extreme step. Tragically, Roshani could not be saved and was declared dead while undergoing treatment. The father of the deceased, holding Devendra responsible for his daughter’s untimely demise, expressed his disbelief and sorrow. He claimed that Devendra, who also hailed from their village, had been pursuing his daughter relentlessly. He suspects that Devendra may have influenced Roshani to take such a drastic step. The devastated father added that they never expected their daughter to resort to such a tragic end.

Devendra’s father, however, shared a different perspective on the incident. According to him, Devendra had not returned home until 1 am that night. When they finally managed to reach him over the phone, he revealed that he had consumed poison in the field. Devendra’s family, along with the girl’s relatives, immediately rushed to the spot and brought both of them to the district hospital.

Sanjay Pathak, the in-charge of Pandhana police station, confirmed that they have received information about the incident. The relatives of the young couple took them directly to the district hospital from the scene of the tragedy. Sadly, the hospital later informed them about Roshani’s death, while Devendra’s life still hangs in the balance. The police will be recording statements from the families of the deceased as well as from Devendra himself in order to ascertain the reasons behind this shocking turn of events.
