Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office Recovers Body from Alameda Drain in Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) made a grim discovery on Tuesday, Feb. 13, as they recovered the body of a 45-year-old man from the Alameda Drain, which runs along Second Street. The individual has been identified as Michael Otero.
BCSO’s Violent Crime and Homicide Detectives responded to reports of a deceased man at approximately 2 p.m. The initial observations made by BCSO revealed no signs of trauma or evidence suggesting foul play. This led investigators to believe that the death was not a result of homicide.
In order to determine the cause of Michael Otero’s death, the Office of the Medical Investigator will conduct a comprehensive examination. This examination will provide more insights into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
