Accident – Death – Obituary News : Indian-American Family of Four Found Dead in Tragic Incident in San Mateo, California

San Mateo, California – In a devastating turn of events, an Indian-American family of four was discovered dead inside their residence on February 13. The San Mateo Police Department is currently investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, although the motive remains unclear.

The victims have been identified as Anand Sujith Henry (42), his wife Alice Priyanka (40), and their twin children. According to the authorities, two of the victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds, while the cause of death for the other two remains undetermined.

The San Mateo Police Department released a statement saying, “Tragically, the two children were found deceased inside a bedroom. Their cause of death is still under investigation. The male and female were located deceased from gunshot wounds inside a bathroom. A 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine were also found in the bathroom.” Initial suspicions of carbon monoxide poisoning were ruled out after authorities found no evidence of gas leakage or faulty appliances in the home.

Anand and Alice were both IT professionals, with Anand working as a software engineer and Alice serving as a senior analyst. The couple had moved to San Mateo County two years ago. Reports state that the Indian mission in the country is providing consular assistance to the family’s relatives in India.

This tragic incident adds to a series of unfortunate events involving Indian students in the country. Just last week, Purdue University student Sameer Kamath was discovered deceased in Warren County.

The investigation into the deaths is still ongoing, and US authorities are awaiting autopsy results and forensic analysis. San Mateo Police Department representative Jerami Surratt told NBC that they received a call requesting a welfare check on the family. Upon arrival, the police found no signs of forced entry and later discovered the four family members dead inside. Detectives are currently gathering evidence, speaking to witnesses and family members, and working to determine a possible motive.

The local community has been left in shock and disbelief following this tragic incident. The San Mateo Police Department is providing support and counseling services to those affected by the incident.
