Amber Alert Issued for 5-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Abducted in Columbus, Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the Columbus Police Department activated a statewide Amber Alert as authorities intensify their search for a 5-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted. The alert was issued after the foster parent disclosed that she had harmed her foster child before fleeing in a vehicle.

The incident took place on Reeb Avenue in Columbus, according to the information provided in the Amber Alert. The authorities are urgently seeking any information that can lead to the safe recovery of the missing boy, identified as Darnell Taylor.

Darnell is described as having black hair and brown eyes, height and weight details are not available at this time. The suspect in the abduction has been identified as Pammy Maye, a 48-year-old woman. Maye is described as being 4’9″ tall, weighing 115 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

The vehicle involved in the abduction is a gray 2015 Jeep Cherokee with the Ohio license plate number “jiggzii,” as stated in the Amber Alert. Authorities are urging anyone with information or sightings of the child, suspect, or the vehicle to immediately contact 911.
