Roche was swiftly transported to the hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries. Sgt. Rocca refrained from providing details regarding whether Roche was waiting for a bus or if she resided in the local vicinity.

Fortunately, no one aboard the Saint John Transit bus, which carried several passengers, sustained any injuries during the incident.

In their efforts to investigate the incident further, the police are urging individuals who may possess dash-cam or video footage of the incident to come forward and share it with them. Sgt. Rocca also mentioned that there were reports suggesting some of the bus passengers may have left the scene before the arrival of the authorities. He appealed to these individuals to reach out to the major crime unit of the Saint John Police, emphasizing the importance of their information and perspective.
