SPARTANBURG, SC – In a tragic incident that occurred on February 11, 2024, the Louisiana State Police Troop B launched an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash on I-10 West, just east of LA 641. This devastating accident claimed the life of 25-year-old Eddie Ward from Spartanburg, SC.

According to a press release issued by the Louisiana State Police on Sunday, February 11, 2024, preliminary findings from the investigation revealed that Ward was driving a 2022 Kia K5 and heading westbound on I-10. For reasons yet to be determined, Ward lost control of his vehicle, veered off the roadway, and collided with a tree.
