Hamilton police have successfully identified the suspect and released the name of the victim involved in a recent homicide that took place at a residence in Stoney Creek last night.

The police department received a distress call and promptly responded to a home located near the intersection of Trafalgar and Mud streets in Stoney Creek at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man suffering from severe injuries. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Kuldip Singh, a resident of Stoney Creek.

Authorities have not disclosed any specific details regarding the nature of the injuries that resulted in the victim’s demise.
