Bronx, NY – A heartbreaking incident took place in the Bronx, where the New York Police Department (NYPD) has confirmed the arrest of Rosvin A. Mejia Castillo, a 37-year-old resident of East 203rd Street. The arrest comes after a brutal assault that tragically resulted in the death of a woman and left two minors injured.

The Incident

The violent incident occurred on Saturday, shaking the community and leaving its residents in shock. The NYPD is currently investigating the circumstances that led to this devastating event.

The Victims

The deceased victim has been identified as 40-year-old Saida Bonilla Mejia, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Alongside Bonilla Mejia’s tragic death, a 16-year-old male was shot in the buttocks, and a 9-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm. The two injured minors are currently receiving medical care for their wounds.

Emergency Response

Upon receiving a distressing 911 call reporting the assault, the NYPD promptly responded to the scene at approximately 05:13 AM. Emergency Medical Services swiftly arrived to provide urgent medical attention to the victims. Despite their efforts, the adult female, Saida Bonilla Mejia, was declared deceased at the scene.

The injured teenagers were immediately transported to nearby hospitals, where they are currently receiving medical care for their injuries.
