Three Individuals Arrested Following Stabbing Incident in Johnson City, New York

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – In a recent incident that unfolded in Johnson City, New York, law enforcement authorities have made significant progress in apprehending the culprits involved in the stabbing of a 16-year-old male. The Johnson City Police Department announced the arrests of Tyheem Jordan, 18, Luke Lucas, 18, and an unidentified male, aged 17, in connection with the incident. This unfortunate incident stemmed from a social media dispute between the parties involved, who were known to each other.

The incident occurred on Thursday, prompting a swift response from officers with the Johnson City Police Department. At around 5:48 p.m., officers rushed to the area of Harry L Drive and North Harrison Street after receiving a report of a male victim who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, the officers found the 16-year-old victim with stab wounds on his head and back. The officers immediately provided medical attention to the injured teenager while additional patrols were dispatched to search the surrounding area for potential leads.

During the course of the investigation, a pivotal moment arose when an officer engaged in conversation with individuals and noticed Tyheem Jordan discarding a jacket into a nearby vehicle. Curiosity led the officer to inspect the vehicle, where a small handgun was discovered in close proximity to the discarded jacket. Consequently, Jordan was promptly detained by the officer and subsequently transported back to the Johnson City Police Department for further questioning.

Upon further examination, it was determined that the firearm seized from the vehicle was a loaded 9mm ghost gun. Concurrently, detectives scrutinized video footage obtained from a nearby business, which clearly depicted Tyheem Jordan relentlessly pursuing the wounded victim with the firearm in hand.

Luke Lucas, identified as an additional suspect in the case, was located at his residence in Binghamton. The apprehension of Lucas transpired without incident, thanks to the prompt actions of the detectives assigned to the case.

Subsequently, on Friday morning, the authorities identified the third suspect as a 17-year-old male. Detectives promptly responded to Binghamton and successfully apprehended the individual without any untoward incidents.

Following the incident, the 16-year-old victim received essential medical treatment and is currently in stable condition.

As a result of a comprehensive investigation, Tyheem Jordan has been charged with the following offenses:

• Attempted Assault in the First Degree, classified as a Class C Felony
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, classified as a Class C Felony

Similarly, Luke Lucas faces the following charges:

• Attempted Assault in the First Degree, classified as a Class C Felony
• Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, classified as a Class D Felony

Additionally, the 17-year-old male suspect has been charged with the following offenses:

• Attempted Assault in the First Degree, classified as a Class C Felony
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, classified as a Class A Misdemeanor

Following their processing at the Johnson City Police Department, Tyheem Jordan and Luke Lucas were transferred to the Broome County Central Arraignment and subsequently remanded to the Broome County Jail. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old suspect remains in police custody pending his arraignment in the Broome County Court’s Youth Part.
