Fatal Shooting Outside Ohio Nightclub Leaves One Dead and Another Injured

CINCINNATI — In a tragic incident at the Tulua nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio, one person has lost their life, and another has been injured following a shooting that took place in the early hours of the morning.

According to a spokesperson for the Cincinnati Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. when they received a distress call reporting a person shot in the 900 block of Race Street.

The Tulua nightclub, where the shooting took place, has been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, attracting a diverse crowd seeking entertainment and enjoyment.

The Cincinnati Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.

Lamonte Scruggs, a 27-year-old male, was identified as the gunshot victim. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Scruggs suffering from gunshot wounds and promptly transported him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Scruggs succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival, leaving his family and friends devastated.

Another individual who was also shot during the incident was quickly rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening, providing some relief amidst the tragedy.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation and is actively seeking any information or leads that may assist in uncovering the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
