Ludhiana: A tragic incident occurred early on Friday when a 21-year-old man lost his life in a fatal accident. The victim, identified as Sajan Kumar from Jain Jeevan Colony in Barewal village, was riding his scooter near a hospital on Sidhwan Canal road when a speeding car collided with him. Sajan’s brother, who was riding another scooter alongside him, rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately, the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Details of the Incident
The incident took place near a hospital on Sidhwan Canal road in Ludhiana. Sajan Kumar was riding his scooter when a speeding car crashed into him. His brother, Bhavesh Kumar, who was riding another scooter, witnessed the accident and immediately took Sajan to the hospital for medical assistance. Tragically, despite their efforts, Sajan succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead by the doctors.
Legal Action Taken
The Sarabha Nagar police have registered a case against the unidentified accused based on the complaint filed by Sajan’s brother, Bhavesh Kumar. The case has been registered under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence), 279 (Rash driving), and 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
