Hamilton Police have released the names of the deceased and the suspect involved in a recent homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Saturday, February 11, 2024, at around 7:42 p.m. in Stoney Creek, near the intersection of Trafalgar and Mud Street. Officers responded to a call and discovered a 56-year-old man with severe injuries. Despite being transported to the hospital, he was later pronounced dead.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Kuldip Singh, a resident of Stoney Creek.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Sukhraj Cheema-Singh, who is the son of the deceased. Hamilton Police have issued a warrant for Sukhraj’s arrest on charges of First Degree Murder. He is currently at large and considered armed and dangerous.

Sukhraj Cheema-Singh was last seen fleeing the scene in a dark blue mid-size SUV. The vehicle was spotted heading northbound on Trafalgar in the direction of Mud Street.
