On Thursday, police received reports of a possible shooting at a residence in Portland’s Lents neighborhood. Responding officers arrived at the scene and discovered a man inside the home. Man Detained after Hours-Long Standoff

After several hours of negotiation, the man finally emerged from the residence and was taken into custody by the police. Authorities then gained access to the home and discovered the lifeless body of a woman. The victim has been identified as 85-year-old Janette Becraft. Medical examination revealed that she had succumbed to a gunshot wound, leading to her death being classified as a homicide.

Former Pro Wrestler Identified as Suspect

The detained individual has been identified as William Albert Haynes, Jr., a 70-year-old former professional wrestler.
