The victim, identified as Dashrath Manjhi, was killed instantly. The enraged villagers demanded compensation for the deceased and blocked the road. They also set the truck on fire. In another incident in Phulwarisharif, a 26-year-old resident of Hinduni village lost his life when a speeding sand-laden truck collided with his bike in the Gonpura locality. The victim, Vikas Choudhary, died on the spot, while his two friends, Rahul Paswan (26) and Munna Paswan (25), sustained severe injuries and were admitted to AIIMS-Patna. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, further provoking the enraged residents who vandalized the truck. The villagers staged a protest on the road, demanding compensation for the deceased. The Phulwarisharif station house officer stated that the police are currently working on identifying the truck driver.
