Accident – Death – Obituary News : Patna: Villagers in Patna district created chaos and set trucks on fire following two separate road accidents that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incidents occurred in Phulwarisharif and Danapur areas on Friday.

In Danapur, a sanitation worker from the Patna Municipal Corporation was crushed to death by a speeding truck on Khagaul road near Chulhaichak. The victim, identified as Dashrath Manjhi, was killed instantly. The enraged villagers demanded compensation for the deceased and blocked the road. They also set the truck on fire. The authorities, including the Danapur circle officer and the Rupaspur station house officer, arrived at the scene with a police force to calm the situation. However, the road remained blocked for approximately four hours. The police are currently conducting raids to apprehend the truck driver responsible for the accident.

In another incident in Phulwarisharif, a 26-year-old resident of Hinduni village lost his life when a speeding sand-laden truck collided with his bike in the Gonpura locality. The victim, Vikas Choudhary, died on the spot, while his two friends, Rahul Paswan (26) and Munna Paswan (25), sustained severe injuries and were admitted to AIIMS-Patna. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, further provoking the enraged residents who vandalized the truck. The villagers staged a protest on the road, demanding compensation for the deceased. The Phulwarisharif station house officer stated that the police are currently working on identifying the truck driver.

These incidents have caused significant unrest among the local communities, leading to acts of vandalism and road blockades. The authorities are working to address the situation and ensure the safety of the residents.

In related news, a 25-year-old man named Rahul lost his life in a motorcycle collision with a stationary truck in Delhi Cantt. The truck driver, Naseem, was arrested for negligence. The accident occurred in a poorly lit area without any CCTV footage. A case has been registered under sections 279 and 304 A of IPC.
