Tragic Accident Claims Life of Holiday Woman in Tarpon Springs

A devastating incident occurred in Tarpon Springs on Friday evening, resulting in the untimely death of a young woman from Holiday. The unfortunate incident involved a motorcycle colliding with an SUV, leaving the passenger of the motorcycle dead and the driver seriously injured.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department swiftly responded to the crash, which took place around 7:50 p.m. at the 39000 Block of U.S. Highway 19. The female passenger, identified as 21-year-old Alina Faillios Chavez from Holiday, tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident.

The motorcycle involved in the collision was a 2018 Suzuki, with 20-year-old Jaden Jackson, also from Holiday, as the driver. Jackson sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital for immediate medical attention.

The SUV responsible for the collision was a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 30-year-old Kayliegh McLiesh. Fortunately, none of the occupants in the Chevrolet suffered any injuries.
