Tarpon Springs Woman Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Crash
TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – A tragic accident occurred on Friday evening, claiming the life of a 21-year-old woman from Holiday, Florida.
The Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to the scene of the crash, which took place around 7:50 pm on US Highway 19 North. The incident involved a motorcycle and an SUV.
Tragically, the female passenger on the 2018 Suzuki motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Alina Faillios Chavez from Holiday, FL.
The motorcycle’s driver, 20-year-old Jaden Jackson, also from Holiday, was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries.
The SUV involved in the crash was a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 30-year-old Kayleigh McLeish.
Fortunately, none of the occupants of the Chevrolet were injured in the collision.
The Tarpon Springs Police Department is currently investigating the crash, and more details will be provided as they become available.
