The local police have initiated a case against a weaver from Chodeswari Colony in Yadiki mandal headquarters for the alleged murder of his wife and nine-month-old daughter. The bodies of the victims, identified as Chandravathi (25) and Chaitra, were discovered in their residence on February 9th (Friday) evening.

According to the authorities, Chandravathi had been married to Ramakrishna (30) for the past five years, and the couple had two daughters. The preliminary investigation has highlighted frequent quarrels between the couple, mainly revolving around financial issues.

The parents of Chandravathi have filed a complaint with the police, accusing Ramakrishna of murdering their daughter and granddaughter. The police report states that Ramakrishna allegedly suffocated his wife and daughter to death using a pillow on Thursday evening before fleeing the scene and locking the house from outside.

The following afternoon, Ramakrishna contacted his mother-in-law, who also resides in Yadiki, and requested her to pick up his elder daughter from school, claiming he was out of town. However, when the mother-in-law attempted to reach Chandravathi and Ramakrishna later in the day, there was no response. Concerned, she visited Chandravathi’s house in the afternoon, only to find the doors locked from the outside. Realizing something was amiss, she immediately informed the police.

The authorities promptly arrived at the scene and forcibly entered the premises. To their dismay, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Chandravathi and her daughter. The bodies have since been transferred to a local hospital for autopsy, and a search party has been assembled to locate Ramakrishna, who is currently on the run.
