First Arrest Made in Connection with Murder of Shiv Sena Leader Abhishek Ghosalkar

The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar. On Friday, they successfully apprehended Amarinder Mishra, who has been charged under sections 29B and 30 of the Arms Act.

The shocking incident occurred when Mauris Noronha shot Abhishek Ghosalkar multiple times before taking his own life. Tragically, the entire incident was captured on camera as Ghosalkar was livestreaming on Facebook at the time. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Ghosalkar succumbed to his injuries.

According to the police, Amarinder Mishra had been serving as Mauris Noronha’s bodyguard for the past four months. It has been revealed that the gun used in the murder belonged to Mishra.

Amarinder Mishra is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday to face the charges brought against him.

During a media briefing, the police disclosed that they have recorded statements from various individuals associated with the case, including eyewitnesses. This marks a significant step forward in unravelling the circumstances surrounding the murder.

Furthermore, investigators have determined that the cellphone used by Mauris and Abhishek to livestream on Facebook belonged to Mauris. The device was securely placed on a tripod to ensure the video was recorded.
