Northville Couple Attacked During Online Sale Meet-Up

Suspects Arrested in Violent Crime Involving Assault and Rape

Police authorities in Northville Township have revealed that the alarming incident occurred on January 20, with the arrests of the suspects taking place earlier this week. As per the initial investigation, the family had arranged a meeting for an online sale at their residence located on Eight Mile Road and Silver Spring Drive. However, the situation took a horrific turn when the male victim was lured outside, only to be brutally beaten. Subsequently, he was forced back into the house where he was subjected to further assault.

During this time, the suspects sexually assaulted the woman inside the home, all while the male victim and their one-year-old child were held hostage at gunpoint. The trauma endured by the family is unimaginable, and the incident has left the community shaken.

On February 5, the authorities successfully apprehended the two suspects involved in the violent crime. One of the suspects, identified as 29-year-old Javon Bryant Anderson, hails from Detroit. The second suspect, currently unnamed due to pending federal arraignment, was transferred to federal custody to face additional charges related to illegal possession of firearms.

The Northville Township Police, in collaboration with the FBI SWAT, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, Michigan State Police, and the Canton Special Operations Group, executed search warrants at residences in Taylor and Detroit, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The coordinated efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies were crucial in bringing these criminals to justice.

Javon Bryant Anderson, a convicted felon, is now facing 26 different charges. His bond has been set at $500,000. The severity and nature of the crime demand that justice is served swiftly and decisively.

Northville Township Police spokesperson, Jones, stated, “In my 17 years of experience here, this is a very abnormal incident. There was surveillance that was conducted, both electronically and physically, over the course of a two-week period.”

The victims were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention and have since been released. While physically safe, they now face the daunting task of recovering from the traumatic experience.

The next court appearance for Javon Bryant Anderson is scheduled for February 16. The legal proceedings will be closely monitored by the community, as they seek justice for the victims and strive to prevent such incidents in the future.
