Howard County police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic homicide incident that occurred in Columbia. The incident involved a 67-year-old man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Thursday night.

At approximately 10:48 p.m. on Thursday, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 9500 block of Half Dollar Court in response to a medical assistance request made by a family member of the victim.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered the 67-year-old man, identified as Perry Anthony Comeau, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of emergency personnel, Comeau was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have stated that the shooting is believed to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. However, the investigation is still ongoing, and the police are actively pursuing all leads and evidence to determine the motive behind this tragic crime.
