Toronto Police Identify 18-Year-Old Mississauga Man as City’s Fourth Homicide Victim
Toronto police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the west end as 18-year-old Issaïh Jünger from Mississauga.
According to a news release by the Toronto Police Service on Wednesday, Jünger was discovered with severe injuries in the vicinity of Lansdowne Avenue and Bloor Street W. at approximately 1:28 a.m., early Tuesday morning.
Immediate life-saving measures were initiated at the scene by attending officers. Subsequently, Toronto paramedics transported Jünger to a nearby hospital, where tragically, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The incident marks Toronto’s fourth homicide of the year, highlighting the alarming rise in violent crimes within the city.
In an unrelated incident, another man in his 20s presented himself at a local hospital during the same timeframe suffering from non-life threatening injuries. However, authorities are yet to confirm any connection between the two events.
Concerned investigators urge individuals who were driving in the area at the time and possess dashboard camera footage or video surveillance to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
