Labourer Blown into Pieces in Explosion at Lucknow Scrap Warehouse

Lucknow, United Kingdom – In a tragic incident, a 34-year-old labourer was killed in an explosion at a scrap warehouse located in the Lakdi Mohal locality under the Cantonment police station on Tuesday afternoon. The explosion was so powerful that it blew the labourer into pieces, with human flesh scattered all around the accident spot.

The explosion, which occurred around 3 kilometers away, sent shockwaves through the surrounding area. Eyewitnesses described the horrifying scene of finding pieces of the labourer’s body scattered in the vicinity. Half of the body was found inside a box in the warehouse, while the other half was protruding outside. The victim’s face was completely torn apart. While initial reports suggested that the explosion happened during the cutting of a cylinder, the cantonment police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the blast.

The deceased labourer has been identified as Krishna Kumar, a resident of Hardoi district. The scrap warehouse where the incident took place is owned by Laxmikant Gupta, who also owns a scrapyard in Lakdi Mohal. Three labourers, including Krishna Kumar, worked at the warehouse. Two other employees, Basharat and Bablu, who had gone for lunch, were not present at the time of the explosion.

Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Mangesh Kumar of Lucknow revealed that the explosion occurred at 4 PM. Senior officials, including DCP East Prabal Pratap Singh, rushed to the scene to assess the situation. A forensic team, bomb disposal squad, and fire personnel were called in to investigate the incident.
