A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred earlier this week in northeast Edmonton. The incident took place at a home in the area of 35th Street and 122A Avenue on Monday at approximately 3:45 p.m. The victim, identified as Cody Lyle, was found in medical distress and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away, according to a news release by the police on Wednesday.

An autopsy conducted on Tuesday confirmed that Lyle’s cause of death was a stab wound, and it has been ruled as a homicide.

The suspect, Jayden Cody Francis Cardinal, who is 30 years old, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Lyle’s death.
