The Adams County Sheriff’s Office revealed on February 2nd that they had apprehended a suspect linked to the fatal shooting incident, which occurred on the 1900 block of Sherrelwood Drive. Initially, deputies responded to a call about property damage but soon discovered that a shooting had taken place, resulting in a car crash.

Sgt. Adam Sherman stated on January 29th, “A few apparent juveniles were in the street on Sherrelwood Drive as two females were driving past, shots were fired at the vehicle and the driver was struck and crashed the vehicle.” Both females were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. Unfortunately, Radke, the driver, succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital, as confirmed by Sherman later that day. The suspect was believed to have fled the scene on foot.

Following a series of interviews and a thorough investigation of the crime scene, deputies were able to identify the suspect and subsequently arrested him. However, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may have video surveillance of the area between 8 p.m. on January 27th and 3 a.m. on January 28th to come forward and contact their detective division using the tip line number: 720-523-4847. This additional evidence could potentially aid in the ongoing investigation.
