Teenager Arrested in Connection to Fatal Shooting in Raleigh

A 14-year-old has been taken into custody and charged with murder in the death of 24-year-old Amari Goss in Raleigh on Monday afternoon.

The Raleigh Police Department announced on Wednesday that a 14-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Raleigh on Monday. The suspect has been charged with murder in the tragic death of 24-year-old Amari Goss.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon, and Raleigh police quickly responded to the 1300 block of Poole Road at around 3:33 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to the hospital with serious injuries, as reported by the police at the time.

Sadly, on Tuesday afternoon, the Raleigh Police Department announced that Amari Goss had succumbed to his injuries, turning the case into a homicide investigation.

Authorities have clarified that they do not currently believe the Poole Road shooting is connected to another shooting incident that occurred earlier on Monday afternoon in the 400 block of Bragg Street.
