14 People Arrested in Portland Drug Sting Operation

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Police Bureau announced that a successful sting operation targeting illegal drug activities in Northeast Portland resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals.

The operation, which took place on February 3rd, focused on the stretch of Northeast 122nd Avenue between Northeast Halsey Street and East Burnside Street.

During the operation, law enforcement officers identified a suspect driving a vehicle with no license plates. The driver, later identified as 36-year-old Timothy Sullivan, began driving erratically. Although a pursuit was initiated, it was eventually called off. However, spike strips were deployed, leading to Sullivan abandoning the vehicle and attempting to flee on foot. He was eventually apprehended by the PPB Air Support and a K9 unit.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle driven by Sullivan was confirmed stolen. Additionally, law enforcement discovered significant quantities of illegal drugs and cash in his possession. Consequently, Sullivan was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including drug possession and stolen vehicle offenses.

In addition to the arrests, the Portland Police Bureau revealed that several drug dealers were apprehended outside of an active drug recovery center located within the targeted area.
