Massachusetts Man Arrested for Attempted Home Invasion in Wallingford

Wallingford, a peaceful town in Connecticut, was shaken when a Massachusetts man attempted a home invasion. The incident occurred on Concord Lane, prompting the immediate response of the local police department.

Law enforcement officers swiftly arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a break-in at a residence. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, with dark hair and dressed in all-black attire, attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by the pursuing officers.

The suspect was later identified as Javier Andujar, a 31-year-old resident of Waltham, Massachusetts. Andujar allegedly used a golf club to smash windows in an attempt to gain entry into the targeted home.

Following his arrest, Andujar was charged with multiple offenses, including criminal attempted home invasion, interfering with an officer, criminal trespass in the third degree, and criminal mischief in the second degree. The severity of the charges reflects the gravity of the crime committed.

To ensure public safety and prevent any potential future incidents, the court set a high surety bond of $150,000.00 for Andujar. The accused will face an arraignment hearing on Tuesday at GA 7 in Meriden, where the legal process will proceed.

Authorities have not released a booking photo of the suspect at this time.
