Gunfire Reported in South Wheeling Prompts Ongoing Investigation
SOUTH WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into an incident involving gunfire that occurred in the South Wheeling area on Friday evening.
According to a statement released by the Wheeling Police Department, the incident took place in the 3700 block of Eoff Street in South Wheeling on the evening of Friday, February 2, 2024. Wheeling Police responded promptly to reports of shots fired in the area.

At approximately 8:17pm on Friday, law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and gathered preliminary information regarding the suspected gunman involved in the incident.
The suspect, described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s, allegedly discharged a single round of ammunition during a heated argument with several individuals outside a residential property. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
