A tragic shooting in Oakville, Missouri has claimed the lives of two individuals, one of whom has been identified as Collin Courtwright, a 15-year-old teenager. The incident occurred on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Black Forest Apartments on Chalet Hill Drive, according to reports from KSDK.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at the apartment complex and discovered that three men had been shot. One adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, Courtwright, the teenage victim, succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital. Another victim is currently being treated for their injuries.

The sister of Collin Courtwright, Clarissa Starns, confirmed his identity to KSDK and has started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his funeral expenses. The fundraiser, which aims to collect $5000, was launched on Tuesday but has not yet received any donations.

According to Captain James Schneider of the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting took place in the back parking lot of the Black Forest Apartments. Authorities believe that the incident was not random, as a car pulled up to the parking lot and opened fire before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the shooting has yet to be determined.
