Accident – Death – Obituary News : B. Sunil, a 28-year-old man from Bellary, has been apprehended by the Bengaluru Rural Railway Station police after being accused of murdering Kumaraswamy during a dispute over money at a bar in Kyatasandra. The tragic incident occurred on February 2 and resulted in the death of 28-year-old Kumaraswamy, who was a resident of Kyatsandra, Tumkur.

Kumaraswamy, originally from Chiratgonda village in Vijayanagara district, had been living in Kyatsandra for the past three years, working as a plaster worker. On the other hand, the accused, Sunil, had been residing and studying at Siddhaganga Math in Tumkur during his early years and had been working as a daily wage laborer in Bellary for the last 15 years.

The fatal assault took place after a disagreement between Sunil and Kumaraswamy at a local bar in Kyatasandra. During their time at the bar, Kumaraswamy asked Sunil to buy him a drink using the money Sunil had visibly on him, which amounted to ₹19,000. However, Sunil refused to comply with Kumaraswamy’s request, leading to a verbal altercation between the two. The dispute escalated, prompting Sunil to leave the bar and consult with a relative’s son at Siddhaganga Math.

Later in the evening, Sunil returned to the bar and found Kumaraswamy still persisting with his demand for money. The situation turned violent as the two engaged in a physical altercation at Kyatasandra Circle and eventually reached Kyatsandra railway station. It was there that Sunil allegedly delivered a fatal punch to Kumaraswamy’s face, causing him to fall onto the railway tracks. In a gruesome turn of events, Sunil continued to assault Kumaraswamy by repeatedly kicking him in the face with his shoe and striking him with a steel bracelet.

Tragically, Kumaraswamy succumbed to his injuries while bleeding profusely, while Sunil fled the scene. The incident came to light when the railway police discovered Kumaraswamy’s bloodied body beside the railway tracks on the morning of February 3. Identification was made possible through a mobile number found in the deceased’s pocket. Following an investigation and a review of CCTV footage, the police identified Sunil as the suspect. Upon interrogation, Sunil confessed to the murder. He has since been arrested, and legal proceedings are currently underway.
