Woman Injured in Attempted Home Invasion in Kent
KENT, Wash. – A 58-year-old woman was shot and injured during an attempted home invasion in Kent on Monday afternoon. The incident took place at a residence in the 24200 block of 94th Avenue South, where individuals were reported attempting to forcibly enter a home.
According to the 911 call, the assailants, armed with firearms, fired shots inside the house, injuring the woman. The suspects then fled the scene in a silver Jetta.
Swift Police Response and Apprehension of Suspects
Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the incident. As they arrived at the scene, they spotted the silver Jetta attempting to leave the neighborhood. In a decisive move, Kent police conducted a “high-risk stop” of the vehicle, successfully detaining all three occupants.

The alleged shooter, a 19-year-old man from Federal Way, was identified and subsequently arrested. The other two suspects, a 20-year-old man from Federal Way and a 19-year-old man from Seattle, were also detained and interviewed by Kent police. One of them was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested accordingly.
