Shooting on Poole Road in Raleigh Turns into Homicide Investigation
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The Raleigh Police Department has launched a homicide investigation following a shooting incident that occurred on Poole Road on Monday.
According to reports, officers were alerted to the incident at approximately 3:33 p.m. in the 1300 block of Poole Road. Upon arrival, law enforcement found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.

The victim, identified as Amari Goss, aged 24, was immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Goss succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, as confirmed by the police.
Authorities have stated that, at this time, there seems to be no connection between this incident and the shooting that took place earlier on the 400 block of Bragg Street on the same day.
Raleigh police emphasized that the investigation into this tragic event is ongoing, and no suspects have been apprehended as of yet.
