Police Arrest 73-Year-Old Paula Miller in Connection with Fatal Hit-and-Run in North Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – Authorities have apprehended Paula Miller, a 73-year-old woman, in connection with a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred in December in north Phoenix. The Phoenix Police Department identified Miller as the suspect responsible for the fatal crash.

The fatal incident occurred on December 14th, around 5 p.m., near the intersection of 13th Street and Thunderbird Road. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a severely injured motorcycle rider identified as 31-year-old Katerina Penrose. Sadly, Penrose succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Detectives investigating the case revealed that Penrose was traveling westbound on Thunderbird Road when Paula Miller made a left turn in front of her, forcing Penrose to swerve and ultimately crash. Further details regarding the events leading up to the collision have not yet been disclosed.

Paula Miller now faces multiple charges, including the serious offense of leaving the scene of a deadly accident, which is classified as a felony.
