Los Angeles Police Department Seeks Help in Identifying Driver Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run

The detectives of the South Traffic Division at the Los Angeles Police Department are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the driver responsible for a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

On January 1, 2024, at 12:02 a.m., a dark-colored pickup truck was observed traveling westbound on 80th Street, attempting to negotiate a left turn onto Central Avenue. Tragically, the truck collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound on Central Avenue. Shockingly, the driver of the suspect’s vehicle chose to flee the scene, neglecting to stop and provide identification or aid. Authorities have noted that the suspect’s vehicle sustained significant damage to the driver’s side door.
