Man Arrested for Fatally Stabbing His Wife in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing his wife to death in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 1:36 a.m. in the 4900 block of Chantilly Avenue.
The authorities were alerted to the incident following a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers discovered an unresponsive woman with multiple stab wounds lying on the floor. Medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene and pronounced her dead.
Initial investigations determined that the victim had been engaged in an argument with her 53-year-old husband, Moises Sanchez, before the fatal attack.
Moises Sanchez has since been arrested and is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder. According to jail records, his initial court appearance is scheduled for Sunday.
