Police Make Additional Arrests in Investigation of Death of Two Kansas Teens
SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities have made three additional arrests, including a 15-year-old from Garden City, in the ongoing investigation into the tragic deaths of two teenagers in Kansas over the weekend.
The Wichita Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of 5200 E Kensington in Wichita at approximately 11:45 p.m. on January 26, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
Simultaneously, officers were called to a local hospital where two shooting victims had self-transported. Unfortunately, Emoni Shears, 14, and Jhiquez Roberts, 19, both residents of Wichita, were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Following the incident, detectives and patrol officers initiated an immediate investigation and pursued leads. On Saturday, a 14-year-old from Wichita was apprehended and faces charges of felony murder and juvenile possession of a firearm.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Wichita Police Department Violent Crimes Team successfully located and arrested an 18-year-old suspect, identified as Hayden Rydell Williams from Wichita, as stated in the Sedgwick County arrest report. Williams is currently in custody on charges of First Degree murder and parole violations, according to online jail records.
Continuing their efforts, investigators managed to apprehend three more suspects on Wednesday. The suspects include a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, both from Wichita, and a 15-year-old boy from Garden City, as confirmed by Police Lt. Aaron Moses. They have been arrested on charges of Felony Murder.
