Two Arrested in Worcester After Stolen Vehicle Spotting

WORCESTER — In a swift operation, two suspects were apprehended by a vigilant Worcester Police Department officer on Thursday. The officer spotted a stolen Toyota Camry while patrolling on Woodland St, leading to the quick initiation of a traffic stop on Oberlin St.

The stolen vehicle, reported missing just a day earlier from Cambridge St, was immediately recognized by the officer, resulting in the successful recovery of the car and the apprehension of its occupants.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer promptly called for backup and proceeded to detain both the driver and the passenger. Initially providing false identification, the driver was later identified as 34-year-old David Morales, residing on Hooper St. Morales is now facing charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

The passenger, identified as 31-year-old Yesenia Davis from Vernon St, was also taken into custody. In addition to being charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Davis had an outstanding arrest warrant, which led to her immediate arrest.
